Peter Douglas is a Melbourne/Naarm based artist whose practice focuses on drawing and painting. Some of the images and themes in the work are memory, hope and nature. He uses a variety of different techniques to create his work. Whether it’s using a hard pencil to emboss the surface of paper, breaking apart shape and colour to creating a vivid comflauge or heavily layering acrylic paint to partially hide what’s beneath the surface; his work attempts to capture fleeting moments in time.
