COLOUR DESTINATION

Colour Destination is a collection of paintings that depict the urban landscape – capturing scenes of people, activity and colour. The works exhibited take reference from images made by photographers Roger Scott, Kate Molenkamp and Edward Keating as well as photos taken by the artist. A playful and vibrant use of colour in the pictures creates a camouflage of line and shape that stimulates movement, emotion and form in the image. Intersecting lines within the composition of the work lead the eye and guide the viewer along a visual narrative. The themes in Colour Destination relate to the
value of individual perspective and the realisation that each passerby has a life
as rich and complex as our own.
